Merciful God, I carry things I need to lay down — the wrongs done to me, and the wrongs I have done. Where I am holding on to resentment, help me to release it. Where I have failed, thank You for Your forgiveness, full and free. Teach me to forgive as I have been forgiven, and free my heart from the weight of bitterness. Amen.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
