A Prayer for When You Are Discouraged
When you feel like giving up, take heart — you are not finished, and you are not alone. May this prayer lift your eyes, and this verse renew you.
A prayer
Father, I feel worn down and discouraged, and my hope is thin. Renew me inwardly, day by day. Remind me that the struggles of now are not the end of the story. Lift my eyes, strengthen my hands, and help me not to give up. Amen.
Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up.
